There are some great people in this like Dr. Parag Khanna, Patti Smith, Dr. Jason Hickel, Wim Wender, Felix Finkbeiner, Luisa Neubauer, Greta Thunberg, Johan Rockstrom, Vic Barrett, Marcella Hansch, Zion Lights, Nike Mahlhaus, Claudia Rinke, and Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus are also included.

The Swedish student Greta Thunberg is becoming the leading figure of a worldwide movement that is shaking the general public up with civil disobedience, strikes, and demos and is rapidly gaining influence. The governments are finally listening. Director Jim Rakete asks some of the most prominent faces of the climate rebellion about their motives. He infects us with their tremendous energy and thirst for knowledge. They all have their goals clearly in mind. Because whatever has to happen: it has to happen now! “NOW” by Jim Rakete is the film for the longed-for green change! In his committed film debut, the famous cult photographer meets Generation Greta. Six young climate activists speak up here, including Luisa Neubauer (Fridays for Future), Felix Finkbeiner (Plant for the Planet), and Nike Mahlhaus (Endegebiet). Why did they become activists? What is at stake? The documentary devised by screenwriter Claudia Rinke encourages imitation. Quite consciously — so that today’s youth also have a future tomorrow. There is support from punk legend Patti Smith, author and filmmaker Wim Wenders, and many more.
